Enterprise Business Continuity Project
This project, based on federal requirements, was implemented using a phased implementation strategy. The initial phase involved a GAP Analysis of the organizations existing business continuity plans and a detailed assessment report with specific line item recommendations for plan modification. Phase II completed the process with the creation of an “over-arching” enterprise business continuity program, encompassing the organizations headquarters and six other facilities nationwide.

SCADA Operations Center
A risk assessment and business impact analysis was conducted on the company’s electric SCADA operations center. At the completion of the analysis a comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plan were developed for the center to ensure continued operations in the face of a natural or man-made disasters. Plan training was provided to affected personnel and a table top exercise was completed to verify the plan components.

A functional exercise was conducted involving the executive leadership of this organization. The exercise included a mock crisis event and required executives to work through a series of plan simulations using actual recovery plans and then present findings to a media group in support of market driven issues.

SCADA Operations Center
Creation of a business continuity plan for the company’s SCADA operations center in compliance to federal requirements. This project focused on identifying the critical functions and developing strategies to mitigate potential risk and to recover from a crisis situation. Plan training, table top testing and after action reviews completed this project.
Independence Power & Light
SCADA Operations Center
In conjunction with NERC Readiness Standards, a business continuity plan was developed regarding their system control center. Plan-specific training was provided to control personnel and a facilitated plan review process was completed.
People’s Natural Gas-Nebraska
Gas Service Supply Center
Creation of a business continuity plan for the company’s natural gas operations. This project focused on identifying the organization’s critical functions, formalizing the business impact analysis and developing strategies to mitigate potential vulnerabilities to risk factors, as well as crisis response plans.
